Google Play
A review's country is an estimate
Google does not say which country a review comes from. It sends the reviewer's language, sometimes with a region, and device details.
Uprate estimates the country from that region, or from the language and where your app's audience is, and marks it Est. on the review card. Country totals in Insights leave estimates out and count those reviews under Without country. The country filter in Reviews and in the API includes estimated countries. Overall totals include every review.
New ratings per country and per star are not available
Google Play publishes one rating count for all countries together. Per country it shows only the average and the share of each star. Uprate therefore cannot count new ratings per country or per star, and the ratings chart says so. An empty value is not zero.
For star counts per country, use the review charts. They count written reviews only, not every rating left on Google Play.
Only the last 7 days come from the API
Google's review API sends only reviews created or updated in the last 7 days. Uprate imports older reviews from the public store listing. That history can be incomplete, lands in Resolved and never triggers replies. If the listing cannot be read or shows no reviews, Uprate tries again every day for the first 30 days and shows the status of the import.
Crash data uses Pacific time and arrives late
Google reports crash and app-not-responding rates per day in Pacific time (America/Los_Angeles), and each metric becomes available on its own schedule. Uprate fetches the last 14 days up to the latest day Google has ready, so compare the same dates when you check another dashboard. This data covers app quality only. Google Play does not give Uprate store listing visits or install conversion.
Sales reports need separate access
Google delivers monthly sales files to a Cloud Storage bucket, and access to reviews does not include it. Revenue needs the bucket name and View financial data, see Google Play. Uprate fetches three months including the current one, and the current month can be incomplete, so compare finished months.
App Store
Store ratings and written reviews are different numbers
Apple's rating total for a country includes ratings without a written review. The store ratings in Insights show those totals. Review charts count only the written reviews imported into Uprate, so their counts and averages differ from the store. Compare the same kind of number for the same country.
Apple sometimes sends a total without the star breakdown
Apple sometimes returns the rating total without the count per star, and the two come from different sources that can disagree. Uprate keeps the newest total and the last usable breakdown from the same day.
A rise without a breakdown counts in the total but not in the star bars or their average. A drop lowers the net change without guessing which stars disappeared. When the next breakdown arrives, its bar can cover several days instead of being split into made-up daily numbers.
An edited review can come back as a new one
When someone edits an App Store review, Apple can give it a new ID and move your reply to it. When Uprate detects that, it hides the old copy so the review is not counted twice. Reviews Apple deleted drop out of review analytics once Uprate confirms the deletion.
A recent reply can briefly look missing
Right after you publish a reply, the store can still report it as missing. Uprate keeps replies from the last 48 hours as published. If the store still reports the reply missing after that, Uprate marks the review unanswered. Check App Store Connect before you reply again. The 48 hours is Uprate's own safety window, not a delay Apple promises.
The first analytics report takes a day or two
Apple creates analytics reports only after Uprate requests them, and the first one usually arrives in one to two days. Until then Presence shows a waiting state, and syncing again does not make it faster. The reports cover impressions, product page views and Get taps. A Get tap is a tap on the Get button, not a finished download.
Sales reports need a Team key
Individual API keys cannot read Sales and Finance reports, and sales reports also need your Vendor Number. Uprate fetches the last three finished months, not the current one, so revenue is never live.
Both stores
Rating history starts with Uprate's first capture
The stores show only current ratings, not their history. Uprate saves a snapshot every day, so history starts with the first snapshot, and the first day has nothing to compare against. A day without a snapshot repeats the last known total. Hover the chart to see which days were captured. A repeated total does not mean zero new ratings.
